Salary Range: $44,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment, including wire and sinker EDM machines.
• Set up workpieces, electrodes, and tooling according to blueprints and job specifications.
• Load and execute CNC programs, adjusting machine parameters for optimal performance and and part quality.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of EDM machines.
• Document production activities, machine settings, and quality control data accurately.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and G-code.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, optical comparators).
• Strong mechanical aptitude for machine setup, fixture alignment, and basic troubleshooting.
• Understanding of EDM processes, parameters, and material properties.
• Commitment to quality control and adherence to safety protocols.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for programming or fixture design.
• Experience with advanced metrology equipment, such as CMMs or optical comparators.
• Demonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ability to perform advanced machine troubleshooting and minor preventative maintenance.
• Cross-training or experience with other precision machining processes (e.g., CNC milling, grinding).
