The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer Request for Quotes (RFQs), blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Calculate detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, tooling, and overhead using established methodologies.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor quotes for raw materials, components, and outsourced manufacturing processes.
• Prepare and present accurate, competitive, and timely formal quotations to customers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and production to ensure quote accuracy and manufacturability.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all quotes, cost data, and pricing structures within the ERP system.
• Support sales in quote clarification, negotiation, and securing new orders.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a quoting, estimating, or pricing role within a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and associated costs (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly).
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with meticulous attention to detail for accurate cost calculations.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and dedicated quoting software.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints.
• Experience with specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) or CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
• Familiarity with common manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly) or materials.
• Background in supply chain, procurement, or cost analysis.
