Salary Range: $47,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Set up and operate various welding equipment and machinery.
  • Inspect and test welds for defects and ensure adherence to quality control procedures.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Prepare materials and surfaces for welding, including cleaning and grinding.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Document welding activities, including materials used, procedures, and inspection results.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve welding-related issues.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding preferred.
  • Certified welder with relevant certifications (e.g., AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6).
  • Proven experience in various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Cored).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in using welding equipment and related tools, including safety apparatus.
  • Strong understanding of welding metallurgy, heat treatment, and quality control procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

  • - Experience with robotic welding systems.
  • - Certification in specific welding processes (e.g., AWS D1.1, D1.3).
  • - Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting welding symbols.
  • - Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
  • - Knowledge of metallurgy and material properties relevant to welding.
