Salary Range: $48,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations on various materials according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Inspect and test welds for quality, integrity, and adherence to standards.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring proper function and calibration.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot welding machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

  • Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to resolve technical issues and improve processes.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding preferred.
  • Proven experience as a welder or in a related manufacturing role.
  • Proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and knowledge of different metals.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and equipment maintenance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks on welds.

Bonus Qualifications

  • - Experience with automated welding systems (e.g., robotic welding, TIG/MIG automation)
  • - Certified welding inspector (CWI) or similar inspection credentials
  • - Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and blueprints
  • - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • - Experience with materials science and metallurgy relevant to welding processes
