Salary Range: $93,000 - $140,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor Green Belt projects, guiding them through the DMAIC methodology.
  • Identify, prioritize, and lead complex, cross-functional Six Sigma projects to reduce defects and improve efficiency.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify root causes of variation and waste using statistical tools.
  • Develop and implement solutions to address identified process issues, ensuring sustainability and long-term effectiveness.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions on Six Sigma principles and tools for manufacturing personnel.
  • Measure and report on project progress and financial impact to senior management.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making throughout the manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., engineering, quality, supply chain) to integrate Six Sigma initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and completing complex Six Sigma projects in a manufacturing environment, resulting in measurable improvements in quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Deep understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and their integration with Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and the ability to apply advanced statistical tools (e.g., DOE, SPC, Hypothesis Testing) to solve manufacturing problems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills to effectively mentor Green Belts and drive cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Experience in designing and implementing robust process controls and sustainable solutions within a manufacturing setting.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Operations Management, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

  • - Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools
  • - Proficiency in statistical software beyond Minitab (e.g., R, Python with statistical libraries)
  • - Familiarity with advanced simulation modeling techniques
  • - Experience in a specific manufacturing sub-sector (e.g., automotive, aerospace, pharmaceuticals)
  • - Certifications in related fields (e.g., PMP, APICS CSCP)
