Salary Range: $65,000 - $98,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing shop floor, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of shop floor employees, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
  • Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Ensure quality standards are met for all manufactured products, conducting inspections and addressing deviations.
  • Manage and maintain shop floor equipment, scheduling preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as production planning and engineering, to meet project deadlines and requirements.
  • Control and manage shop floor inventory of materials and supplies, ordering as needed.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a workforce.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making, with a focus on efficiency and quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production schedules.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
