Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Muskegon that are seeking NPI Engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Lead design reviews and ensure manufacturability (DFM) of new products.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to define manufacturing processes for new products.
- Develop and optimize production lines for NPI, focusing on efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for new product manufacturing processes, including work instructions and control plans.
- Identify and implement new manufacturing technologies and equipment to support NPI requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for NPI-related production issues.
- Manage the transfer of new products from pilot production to mass manufacturing, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for NPI projects, reporting on progress and identifying areas for improvement.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or manufacturing engineering within a high-volume production environment.
- Proven ability to read and interpret schematics, Gerber files, and mechanical drawings.
- Strong understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes, SMT, and test methodologies.
- Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Agile, Windchill) and CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, SolidWorks).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter).
- Familiarity with ERP systems and their integration with engineering data.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process planning tools.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, VBA) for automation.
- Certification in relevant methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
