Operations Manager | Muskegon, MI

Salary Range: $103,000 - $150,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Muskegon that are seeking Operations Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficiency and adherence to schedules.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize productivity and quality.
• Manage and mentor a team of production supervisors and line workers.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with supply chain and quality control to ensure seamless operations.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience with ERP systems and production planning software
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and their application in manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for production planning, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and implement digital transformation initiatives within a manufacturing environment (e.g., IoT, automation, data analytics).
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
