Facilities Manager | Whitehall, MI

Salary Range: $89,000 - $135,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment and infrastructure.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Manage facility budgets, including capital expenditures and operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors for specialized services.
• Optimize space utilization and manage facility expansion projects.
• Implement and maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in facilities management, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing facility maintenance, repairs, and capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance in manufacturing.
• Experience with CMMS software for work order management and preventive maintenance.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) implementation or optimization.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles applied to facilities management.
• Certification in a relevant field (e.g., CFM, FMP, Six Sigma Green Belt).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software for space planning and system documentation.
• Demonstrated success in energy efficiency initiatives or sustainability programs.
