Salary Range: $79,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the IATF 16949 Quality Management System.
• Lead and participate in internal and external IATF 16949 audits.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
• Facilitate APQP activities including PPAP submission and approval.
• Manage customer complaints and ensure effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver training on IATF 16949 requirements and quality tools.
• Monitor key quality performance indicators and report on trends and corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred) or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in IATF 16949 standards and their practical application.
• Strong knowledge of core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
• Certified Internal Auditor for IATF 16949.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certified Lead Auditor (IATF 16949)
• Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and MSA methodologies beyond basic application
• Experience with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for data analysis and process improvement
• Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, molding, assembly) and their associated quality challenges
• Ability to speak a second language relevant to the global automotive supply chain (e.g., German, Mandarin, Spanish)
