Salary Range: $82,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Byron Center that are seeking skilled IATF Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IATF 16949 compliant quality management system documentation.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to IATF 16949 standards and company procedures.
• Lead and facilitate problem-solving activities using core tools such as 8D, FMEA, and Control Plans.
• Manage customer specific requirements (CSRs) and ensure their effective implementation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the application of statistical process control (SPC) and other quality methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on APQP activities, including PPAP submission and approval.
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in IATF 16949 standards and core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
• Proven ability to lead and facilitate problem-solving activities (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
• Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical process control and data analysis.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
• Experience with AIAG Core Tools training and implementation (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
• Working knowledge of customer-specific requirements for major OEMs (e.g., GM, Ford, Stellantis, BMW, Mercedes)
• Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for data analysis and problem-solving
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen)
