HR Manager | Battle Creek, MI
Salary Range: $84,000 - $129,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full employee life cycle from recruitment to exit.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with manufacturing goals.
- Administer compensation, benefits, and performance management systems.
- Lead talent acquisition and retention initiatives for skilled manufacturing roles.
- Conduct HR-related training and development programs for staff.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management role within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state labor laws and HR best practices, particularly as they apply to manufacturing.
- Proven experience in employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and compensation within a production setting.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance within a manufacturing context.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with HRIS implementation and optimization
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
- Proven track record in talent development and succession planning
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and their application to HR
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin) to support a diverse workforce
