Inventory Control Manager | Muskegon, MI

Salary Range: $78,000 - $118,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
  • Oversee the cycle counting program and conduct regular inventory audits.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and warehousing to ensure efficient material flow.
  • Manage and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Implement and maintain inventory management systems and technologies.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for inventory accuracy and efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory control, logistics, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the a bility to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and optimize inventory control processes and procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP system implementation and optimization.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
  • APICS CSCP or CPIM certification.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Experience with automation technologies (e.g., AS/RS, AGVs).
