Salary Range: $46,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Document inspection results accurately, including identifying and recording non-conformances.
• Initiate Material Review Board (MRB) procedures for rejected materials and participate in their disposition.
• Utilize and maintain various measuring equipment and tools, ensuring their calibration status.
• Collaborate with suppliers, quality engineers, and production personnel to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles during inspections.
• Maintain a clean and organized inspection area, adhering to all safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications (GD&T knowledge preferred)
• Proficiency in using various inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with a Quality Management System (QMS) such as ISO 9001.
• Familiarity with various measurement tools beyond basic calipers and micrometers (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, profilometers).
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, including GD&T.
• Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
• Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for material transactions.
