Operations Manager | East Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $102,000 - $149,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficiency and adherence to schedules.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize productivity and quality.
• Manage and mentor a team of production supervisors and line workers.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with supply chain and logistics to ensure timely material flow and product delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
• Manage operational budgets and resource allocation to achieve financial targets.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of improving operational efficiency, cost reduction, and quality metrics.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and manufacturing execution systems (MES).

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
• Experience with ERP systems implementation or optimization
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Bilingual in Spanish or other relevant languages
