Plant Manager | Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $138,000 - $189,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring production targets are met.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage and mentor plant staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Optimize resource allocation, including labor, equipment, and materials.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles.
• Manage plant budget, controlling expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations
• Proven track record of improving plant safety, quality, and productivity metrics
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive financial performance
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
• Experience with a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Fluency in Spanish or other relevant second language
• Demonstrated experience in a multi-site or regional management role
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
