Salary Range: $99,000 - $146,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Grand Rapids that are seeking skilled IT Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain all IT infrastructure and systems across manufacturing operations.
• Develop and implement IT strategies to support manufacturing efficiency and growth.
• Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, new technology implementation, and infrastructure improvements.
• Ensure the security and integrity of manufacturing data and IT systems, adhering to industry compliance.
• Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on IT systems and applications.
• Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, optimizing contracts and service delivery.
• Develop and manage the IT budget for manufacturing operations.
• Lead and mentor a team of IT support staff, fostering professional development and high performance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and experience implementing security protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to manage IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge gaps between IT and operational teams.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) in a manufacturing context.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for industrial control systems (ICS) or operational technology (OT).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and how IT supports them.
• Certifications in IT service management (e.g., ITIL) or project management (e.g., PMP).
