Inventory Control Manager | Mason, MI

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Oversee cycle counting and physical inventory processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation of discrepancies.
  • Analyze inventory data, identify trends, and provide insights to improve forecasting and demand planning.
  • Manage and mentor a team of inventory control specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics departments to ensure seamless material flow and on-time delivery.
  • Implement and maintain an effective inventory management system (e.g., ERP, WMS) to track inventory movement and optimize storage.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce excess and obsolete inventory, improving working capital utilization.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory control, logistics, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and WMS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP system implementation and optimization.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • APICS CSCP or CPIM certification.
  • Project management experience, particularly with process improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
