Salary Range: $82,000 - $122,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Coopersville that are seeking skilled Materials Managers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and MRO supplies.
• Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
• Manage supplier relationships, including contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Lead and mentor a team of purchasing agents, buyers, and inventory specialists.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and sales to forecast material needs and ensure timely delivery.
• Implement and maintain robust systems for material tracking, traceability, and quality assurance.
• Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities within the materials supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in materials management, inventory control, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management and procurement
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on material flow
• Demonstrated ability to optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
