Salary Range: $83,000 - $123,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of materials.
• Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
• Lead and mentor a team of materials planners, buyers, and warehouse personnel.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of materials.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure material availability and quality standards are met.
• Implement and manage material handling and storage systems for efficiency and safety.
• Analyze material usage and forecast demand to support production schedules and strategic planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in materials management processes and systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in materials management, production planning, or inventory control within a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience with ERP/MRP systems for inventory management, demand forecasting, and production scheduling
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and their application to materials flow
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of materials professionals
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
• Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
• Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and import/export processes
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP)
