Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Lansing that are seeking skilled First Article Inspectors. Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of first article parts and assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Utilize a wide range of precision measuring tools and equipment, including CMM, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators.
• Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, identifying and detailing any non-conformances or deviations.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve discrepancies and improve manufacturing processes.
• Generate comprehensive First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 or customer-specific requirements.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring its accuracy and proper functioning.
• Provide feedback to manufacturing on root causes of defects and recommend corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Expertise in using a wide range of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately.
