Salary Range: $55,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive First Article Inspections (FAI) according to AS9102 standards.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure part conformance.
• Utilize a wide range of precision measuring tools and equipment, including CMMs, calipers, and micrometers.
• Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, identifying and reporting non-conformances.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
• Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Verify material certifications and special process requirements for each first article part.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or technical certification preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in quality inspection, preferably with First Article Inspection (FAI) responsibilities.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Demonstrated expertise with precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, optical comparators).
• Solid understanding of AS9102 FAI requirements and other relevant quality standards.
