Quality Technician | East Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $46,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in East Lansing that are seeking skilled Quality Technicians. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured products.
• Perform root cause analysis for non-conforming materials and products.
• Calibrate and maintain inspection, measuring, and test equipment.
• Document quality control activities and maintain accurate records.
• Assist in the development and revision of quality procedures and work instructions.
• Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Train production personnel on quality standards and inspection techniques.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing) or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications (GD&T).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency in using a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) or other automated inspection equipment.
