Salary Range: $83,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality management systems and procedures.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier non-conformances and quality issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define supplier quality requirements and specifications for new products.
• Monitor and report on key supplier quality performance metrics and trends.
• Manage the qualification and onboarding of new suppliers, including the approval of PPAP submissions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers on quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability and quality considerations are addressed with suppliers.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years experience in quality engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Proficient in problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, 5 Whys).
• Experience with supplier auditing and qualification processes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with AS9100 or IATF 16949 quality management systems.
• Certified Lead Auditor (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9900, IATF 16949).
• Proficiency in a second language, particularly Mandarin or Spanish.
• Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience with advanced statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
