Staff Accountant | Grand Rapids, MI

Salary Range: $53,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Grand Rapids region seeking Staff Accountants. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including preparing supporting schedules.
• Process accounts payable invoices and expense reports, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations.
• Support the inventory costing process and reconcile inventory balances.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting methodologies
