Salary Range: $48,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with multiple companies in Battle Creek seeking experienced Shipping & Receiving Leads. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead and train a team of shipping and receiving personnel.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and discrepancy resolution.
• Coordinate with production, sales, and logistics to meet shipping schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Operate and maintain material handling equipment, including forklifts.
• Investigate and resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies or issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college or technical training preferred.
• 3+ years experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment; valid certification required.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, including training and performance management.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of shipping regulations, HAZMAT procedures, and safety protocols.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems beyond basic data entry (e.g., configuring workflows, report generation).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or demonstrated experience applying continuous improvement methodologies in a warehouse setting.
• Forklift trainer certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• Basic proficiency in a second language commonly spoken by a portion of the manufacturing workforce (e.g., Spanish).
