Salary Range: $51,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Newaygo seeking Shipping & Receiving Leads who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead and train a team of shipping and receiving personnel.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counting and discrepancy resolution.
• Coordinate with production, sales, and logistics to ensure timely material flow.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality standards in the warehouse.
• Operate and maintain material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and packing slips.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize warehouse operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including training and mentoring junior staff.
• Proficient in using ERP/WMS systems for inventory management and transaction processing.
• Strong understanding of logistics, including carrier selection, freight optimization, and documentation.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for inventory accuracy and discrepancy resolution.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management and transaction processing.
• Forklift operator certification and experience with various material handling equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior shipping/receiving staff.
• Familiarity with international shipping regulations and documentation (e.g., customs, incoterms).
