Advanced Quality Engineer | Manistee, MI
Salary Range: $90,000 - $131,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced quality control plans for new product introductions.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for complex quality issues.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis techniques to monitor and improve product quality.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and inspectability of products.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and reduce defects.
- Conduct supplier quality audits and work with suppliers to resolve material quality issues.
- Mentor junior quality engineers and provide technical guidance on quality methodologies.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
- Proficiency in core quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP, 8D).
- Demonstrated ability to lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- ASQ certification (e.g., CQE, CSSBB) preferred.
