EHS Manager | Norton Shores, MI
Salary Range: $82,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide EHS training to employees at all levels, fostering a strong safety culture.
- Manage hazardous waste programs, including proper storage, labeling, and disposal.
- Maintain and update EHS record-keeping systems and prepare required reports for regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations to integrate EHS considerations into new projects and processes.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
- 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and train at all levels of the organization.
Bonus Qualifications
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) designation.
- Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 implementation and maintenance.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Proficiency in EHS software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera).
