Salary Range: $55,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for lathes using CAM software.
  • Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine optimal machining processes and tool selections.
  • Calculate and set up tool offsets, feed rates, and cutting speeds.
  • Perform first-article inspections and troubleshoot machining issues to ensure part quality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with machinists and engineers to optimize programs for efficiency and manufacturability.
  • Maintain and organize CNC programs and related documentation.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives for programming processes.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with CAM software like Fusion 360 or Mastercam.
  • Knowledge of G-code and M-code editing and optimization.
  • Ability to design and create fixtures for part holding.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM).
  • Experience with multi-axis turning centers (e.g., Y-axis, sub-spindle).
