Salary Range: $61,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Lansing that are seeking skilled Estimators. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for manufacturing projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to gather necessary information for accurate quotes.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities related to cost and schedule.
• Maintain and update a database of historical cost data for future reference.
• Present and explain estimates to internal stakeholders and external clients.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong proficiency in using estimating software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and labor costs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish or Mandarin.
• Experience with configure-price-quote (CPQ) software.
