Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Otsego that are seeking Environmental Health & Safety Specialists. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Provide EHS training to employees on various topics, including hazard communication, emergency response, and machine guarding.
• Manage hazardous waste programs, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and disposal.
• Maintain accurate EHS records and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science field.
• 3-5 years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and develop corrective actions.
• Experience in developing and delivering EHS training programs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Proficiency in EHS software platforms (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex, Sphera)
• Ability to conduct ergonomic assessments and recommend controls
