Salary Range: $60,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Lansing seeking Buyers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships and performance.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors.
• Analyze market trends and production needs to inform purchasing decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to ensure material availability and quality.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for direct and indirect materials.
• Optimize inventory levels to reduce costs and minimize waste.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems for procurement processes.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production scheduling.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP system, particularly SAP or Oracle
• Certification in purchasing (e.g., CPSM, CPIM)
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints
