Salary Range: $56,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and debug CMM programs using various software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications to create effective inspection routines.
  • Select appropriate probes, styli, and fixtures for optimal measurement accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform first-article inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections of manufactured components.
  • Analyze measurement data, troubleshoot CMM program issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment, ensuring proper functionality and measurement integrity.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve measurement processes and product quality.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in PC-DMIS software for CMM programming.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application.
  • Experience with various CMM hardware platforms and controllers.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.
  • Practical experience in a manufacturing or quality assurance environment.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with multiple CMM software platforms (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS)
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for model manipulation and toolpath generation
  • Ability to perform basic CMM maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles beyond basic application
  • Experience with automation or robotic integration for CMM inspection
