Salary Range: $60,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Manistee region seeking CMM Programmers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and debug CMM programs using various software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso) from 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to understand part specifications and inspection requirements.
• Select appropriate probes, fixtures, and measurement strategies for accurate and efficient CMM inspections.
• Perform first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections, analyzing results and generating comprehensive reports.
• Troubleshoot CMM equipment and program issues, making necessary adjustments and calibrations.
• Maintain and organize CMM program files, ensuring proper version control and documentation.
• Provide training and support to quality inspectors on CMM operation and program execution.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in inspection.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Experience with various CMM types and probing systems.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) beyond basic model viewing.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and its application in manufacturing.
• Ability to perform basic CMM maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with multiple CMM software platforms (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• GD&T professional certification (e.g., ASME GDTP).
