Salary Range: $55,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision parts.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code programs.
• Perform in-process inspections using various metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Troubleshoot and adjust machine offsets and tooling to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Load raw materials and unload finished components, ensuring proper part segregation.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Document production data, including part counts and quality checks.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience operating CNC Swiss-style lathes
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications
• Proficient in using various precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, comparators)
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming
• Experience with tool offsets, adjustments, and changes

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAM software (e.g., PartMaker, Esprit) for programming and simulation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex machining issues.
• Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and calibration.
• Familiarity with quality control tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, GD&T).
• Prior experience training junior operators.
