Salary Range: $57,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
• Create, issue, and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Monitor and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and prevent production delays.
• Collaborate with planning and production to optimize inventory levels and support material availability.
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities and supply chain efficiencies.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for procurement and inventory management.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
• Solid understanding of supply chain principles, including logistics and inventory optimization.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
• Experience with advanced ERP modules for procurement/supply chain (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle SCM Cloud).
• Demonstrated success in leading cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing or value engineering.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and their application to supply chain optimization.
