Salary Range: $39,000 - $64,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and configure production machinery and equipment for new manufacturing orders.
• Install, align, and adjust tooling, dies, and fixtures according to specifications.
• Perform test runs and initial quality checks to ensure proper machine operation and product conformity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues, making necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment during changeovers.
• Document setup parameters, machine settings, and changeover procedures accurately.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during machine setup and operation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Setup Technician or in a similar machine setup role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to set up, adjust, and troubleshoot production machinery and equipment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform effective repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Adherence to safety protocols and quality standards, including a basic understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with G-code programming or editing.
• Certification in Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Advanced GD&T interpretation and application.
• Prior experience in tool and die making or repair.
