Salary Range: $60,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of finishing department personnel.
• Ensure all finished products meet established quality standards and specifications.
• Monitor production schedules and optimize workflows to achieve efficiency targets.
• Implement and enforce safety regulations and company policies within the finishing area.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to improve team performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform minor adjustments to finishing equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing finishing department.
• Strong technical knowledge of various finishing processes (e.g., painting, coating, assembly, polishing) and materials.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain high-quality control standards for finished products.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of effectively managing and motivating a production team.
• Proficient in identifying and resolving production issues, ensuring efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and compliance relevant to finishing operations in manufacturing.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency with ERP or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Certification in a relevant quality standard (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Supervisor).
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor production staff on new processes or equipment.
• Experience with automated finishing systems or robotic applications.
