Key Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing presses to produce parts according to specifications.
• Perform machine setup, die changes, and tooling adjustments for various production runs.
• Monitor press operation, ensuring product quality and efficient production rates.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and visual inspections of finished parts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues with the press.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Complete production logs and quality control documentation accurately.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience operating and setting up manufacturing presses (e.g., stamping, hydraulic, CNC).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for machinery adjustments and minor repairs.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and perform basic shop math.
• High attention to detail for quality control and adherence to product specifications.
• Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
• Basic mechanical or electrical troubleshooting skills beyond press operation.
• Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator).
• Certified forklift operator.
• Ability to train or mentor less experienced operators.
