Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
• Verify product specifications against blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure accuracy.
• Document inspection results thoroughly, including identification of defects and non-conformances.
• Initiate non-conformance reports (NCRs) and assist in the segregation of defective materials.
• Collaborate with production personnel to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and ensure the calibration status of all inspection tools and equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated experience using various precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
• Knowledge of quality control methodologies, standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and statistical process control (SPC).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills for identifying defects and non-conformances.
• Ability to accurately document inspection results and generate detailed reports.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM programming or advanced metrology software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• ASQ certification (e.g., Certified Quality Inspector, Certified Quality Technician).
• Advanced proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software and methodologies.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
