Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Verify product conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, maintaining clear records for traceability.
• Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action processes.
• Utilize and maintain precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
• Conduct first-article inspections (FAI) and participate in final product release activities.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and support process improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Working knowledge of quality control methodologies and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills for identifying defects.
• Basic computer proficiency for data entry, reporting, and using quality management software.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or other automated inspection equipment.
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification.
• Proficiency with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software and data analysis.
• Advanced understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with internal auditing processes (e.g., ISO 9001).
