Salary Range: $127,000 - $177,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Manistee seeking General Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve production targets and business growth.
• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
• Drive operational excellence through process optimization and lean manufacturing principles.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations.
• Proven track record of achieving production targets and improving operational efficiency.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L and budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of growth.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex projects from conception to completion.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or other quality management systems.
