Salary Range: $55,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Hart seeking First Article Inspectors who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed dimensional inspections of first article parts against engineering drawings and specifications.
• Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments, including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, completing all required first article inspection reports (FAIRs).
• Identify and document non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action requests as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve measurement discrepancies and ensure product quality.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment according to established procedures.
• Interpret and apply GD&T principles to ensure accurate measurement and part validation.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection processes and product quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or Associate's degree preferred.
• 3+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications (GD&T).
• Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 or equivalent reporting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM or other automated inspection equipment.
• ASQ certifications (e.g., CQI, CQT).
• Ability to interpret and apply GD&T principles beyond basic understanding.
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
