Salary Range: $57,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed cost estimates for manufacturing projects.
• Collaborates with engineering and production to gather necessary data for bids.
• Analyzes blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Solicits and reviews quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Presents estimates and proposals to internal teams and external clients.
• Identifies and quantifies cost factors such as production time, materials, and labor.
• Maintains accurate records of estimates, bids, and project costs.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in estimating for a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and labor costs.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
• Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish or Mandarin
• Familiarity with design software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for reviewing technical drawings
• Project management experience
