Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train fabrication team members on best practices and safety protocols.
• Oversee daily fabrication operations, ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide fabrication processes.
• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment, including welders, grinders, and cutting tools.
• Conduct quality control inspections of fabricated components to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Manage material inventory for fabrication projects, ensuring availability and minimizing waste.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize fabrication efficiency and reduce costs.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of various fabrication techniques, including welding (MIG, TIG, STICK), cutting (plasma, laser, saw), forming, and finishing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train a team of fabricators.
• Experience with quality control processes and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Solid understanding of material properties and their application in fabrication.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for reviewing designs.
• Certification in welding (e.g., AWS Certified Welder).
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems for production tracking and material management.
• Ability to train and mentor junior fabricators.
