Salary Range: $44,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Jenison that are seeking skilled Incoming Inspection Technicians. Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Document inspection results accurately in the Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain detailed records of inspected items.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials, initiate Material Review Board (MRB) processes, and assist in root cause analysis.
- Utilize various precision measurement tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators.
- Collaborate with suppliers, engineering, and production teams to resolve material discrepancies and improve incoming material quality.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and traceability of all inspected materials.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or Associate's degree preferred.
- 2+ years experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to use a variety of precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and application.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with quality management software or ERP systems.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with CMM operation and/or programming.
- IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T.
