Salary Range: $45,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with multiple companies in Charlotte seeking experienced Incoming Inspection Technicians. Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Document inspection results accurately in the quality management system (QMS), including acceptance, rejection, and non-conformance details.
- Initiate and process Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) for rejected materials, ensuring proper containment and disposition.
- Utilize precision measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators, to verify product compliance.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve material discrepancies and improve supplier quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and improvement of inspection procedures and work instructions.
- Conduct first article inspections (FAI) as required for new or revised parts.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or Associate's degree preferred.
- 2+ years experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications (e.g., GD&T).
- Demonstrated ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators).
- Experience with Non-Conforming Material (NCM) processes and documentation.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles
- IPC-A-610 certification for electronics inspection
- Ability to read and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Prior experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical device, aerospace)
