Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Conduct testing and validation of packaging materials and designs to ensure quality and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and marketing, to integrate packaging requirements.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives related to packaging materials and processes.
• Develop and maintain detailed packaging specifications and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues on the production line.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in packaging technology and materials.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for packaging design and analysis
• Strong understanding of various packaging materials, their properties, and manufacturing processes
• Experience with packaging validation, testing, and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated ability to optimize packaging for cost, efficiency, and sustainability

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software for packaging design.
• Familiarity with sustainable packaging materials and practices.
• Knowledge of ISTA or ASTM packaging test methods and equipment.
• Project management experience, particularly in cross-functional teams.
