Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Hart that are seeking Payroll Specialists. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely payroll for hourly and salaried employees, including wages, bonuses, and deductions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and company policies.
• Reconcile payroll data and general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Administer timekeeping systems and ensure proper recording of employee hours and leave.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports, including tax filings, year-end statements, and internal analyses.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and payroll-related matters.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Paycom) and timekeeping systems.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including multi-state tax compliance.
• Experience with general ledger reconciliation and month-end close processes related to payroll.
• Ability to interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements or union contracts to payroll processing.
